Damae

From a young age DAMAE knew that her life would be focused around music. She was always inspired by her father, who would play guitar and sing to her. Growing up, Damae studied ballet and sang in choirs, which fueled her desire to be on stage.

At the age of 14, Damae was discovered by a photographer from the teen magazine BRAVO in Germany and began modeling. Soon after, she started receiving offers from music and film producers which she declined, preferring to sing and write in a punk band, and to do freelance and studio gigs. Destiny led her to meet Ramon Zenker, who she admired from Hardfloor. He invited her to his studio to see if they could work together. The musical chemistry between them was amazing and Damae soon found herself with a record deal as the singer for FRAGMA.

The first single she released was 'YOU ARE ALIVE' and it went straight to no. 4 in the UK charts and became a worldwide hit. The debut album TOCA went Gold and was followed by the world tour that included Scandinavia, Australia and Asia. A year and a half later, the second album EMBRACE was released with hits like 'SAY THAT YOU`RE HERE', 'EMBRACE ME' and 'TIME AND TIME AGAIN' topping the club charts worldwide. Damae's last single with FRAGMA was 'MAN IN THE MOON', a melding of the classic dance anthem Energy 52 (Cafe Del Mar) and her soft soulful voice.

Following the success of FRAGMA, Damae became the presenter for Dance:District on Onyx TV in Germany and got to interview Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto, Westbam, Jean Jaques Smoothie, Junior Jack, Boogie Pimps, Milk and Sugar, Mousse T and many more.

Damae has also collaborated with various artists as a featured singer -- 'KYAU VS ALBERT' feat. DAMAE, 'VELVET MORNING' (EastWest/Euphonic), 'DISTANT SOUNDZ' feat. DAMAE, 'JUS WANNA LUV YOU' (Inferno). She recently wrote and performed the track 'TRY and TRY' for 4Clubbers, appearing soon on their new album. At the moment she's concentrating on her solo material which she is co-writing and co-producing. Her most recent single is DAMAE feat. LONDONBEAT with the worldwide hit 'I'VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT YOU'. Damae's next singles, 'NOT OVER YOU' and 'NEVER BE LONELY', were recorded at the famous Murlyn studios in Stockholm, and are set for release in 2007. The singles are being produced by Max Reich and Henrik Korpi who has worked with Danni Minogue and Sophie Ellis Bextor, with remixes by The Poker Pets. The songs are written by Karen Poole (Sugababes, Kylie) and Therese (Stonebridge) and engineered by Jens Bergmark. Stay tuned for the music!
